The effective & affective guide of Danisinni is a project by Anne Marie Sampaio in the frame of XDanisinni artist-residency.
To create this map I designed the district of Danisinni in a simple and understandable way for anyone. The colors - red, yellow and white - are often used for maps and are lively, so the choice could not be different.
Inside there is a guide to the places (and people) that you need to know if you decide to visit the neighborhood. But, opening it, even before there is a transparent sheet with a story that Anne wrote to connect the "affective" stories of the place to the "actual" ones and to have a different vision of this neighborhood.
The pattern of rectangles recalls the view of the houses from above, and the fact that it is not closed but open means that the district, though it may seem isolated from the rest of the city, is not at all.
